Six Degrees was approached by South Africa’s Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to create a series of Explainer videos that increase aquaculture awareness. The objective of the five videos was to influence and improve the consumption of locally produced aquaculture products. The idea was to position the department as a supporter of sustainable fishing practices and a champion of the environment.

We spent time interviewing representatives at aquaculture farms that produce trout, mussels, oysters, salmon and tilapia, that spoke about their operations, process and practices. We also included a step-by-step recipe in each video. To create these, we built a studio set-up in a kitchen and filmed with a chef.
